The 3rd Annual Clarke County Studio Tour presented by The Barns of Rose Hill, Berryville Main Street, and Opus Oaks, will be held on Saturday September 25 from 10-5 and Sunday September 26 from 12-5. The tour will begin at the top of Clarke County on Route 7 and wind its way down through Berryville and out to Route 50 in Boyce. During this free event, artists will be opening their studios in various locations to show their talents, give demonstrations, and to simply share their art with the public. Items will also be available for sale.
With the opening of the Fire House Gallery, a number of new artists have ‘come out of the woodwork’ to be a part of the art culture in Clarke County. In addition to these new artists, a number of returning artists will provide stops along the tour. Artists will be exhibiting stained glass, pottery, sculpture, fused glass, paper craft, painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, fiber art, wood turning and carving, and stone carving.
Two local schools will also open their doors during the tour this year. Opus Oaks, An Art Place will have demonstrations by instructors and a student art show and sale. The Clarke County High School IB Art Program will also have a show and demonstrations.

A website clarkestudiotour.org has been set up so anyone can preview the tour and plan their own route. The site gives details about the artists and their work along with restaurants and places to stay in the area. The interactive map will show places of interest that you may want to visit while on the tour.
This tour makes a great weekend destination for a ‘stay-cation’ for locals when combined with our inns, restaurants, and other items of interest. Tour booklets will be available at Berryville Main Street/Fire House Gallery at 23 E. Main Street in Berryville prior to the tour and the weekend. Booklets will also be available at all the artist locations if you start the tour without a book. Each artist location will be marked with a tour sign at their location. For more information you may visit the website or call Berryville Main Street at 540-955-4001.
