Traffic Alert: VDOT Closing 606 (River Road)

The Virginia Department of Transportation will be CLOSING Route 606 (River Road) 1.82 Miles South of Route 7 at   Route 607 (Saw Mill Hill Road) and 2.0 Miles North of Route 649 (Frog Town Road)   in Clarke County, Virginia   beginning on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 6:00 a.m.

The Virginia Department of Transportation will be replacing bridge decking and estimates the completion date to be in early November 2010, weather permitting.

DETOUR IS AS FOLLOWS:

Southbound traffic will use Route 7 to Route 601 (Blue Ridge Mountain Road) to Route 50 to Route 606 (Mt. Carmel Road) to Route 649 (Frogtown Road) to Route 606 (River Road).

Northbound traffic will use Route 649 (Frogtown Road) to Route 606 (Mt. Carmel Road) to Route 50 to Route 601 (Blue Ridge Mountain Road) to Route 7 to Route 606 (River Road).

Routes 604 (Ebenezer Road) and Route 605 (Morgan’s Mill Road) will also be available for local traffic and will have maintenance done on them prior to the closure.
