Two Injured in Motorcycle Deer Strike on Route 7

A collision between a motorcycle and a deer on Route 7 sent two people to the hospital late Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Route 7 near Ebenezer Road. The unidentified rider of the motorcycle was traveling eastbound with a passenger when a deer ran into his path. The deer collided with the motorcycle and caused both riders to be thrown from the vehicle.

Emergency units responded to the scene and transported both individuals to Winchester Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is being investigated by Trooper Ronnie D. Riggs.
